ArcoLinux v24.02 • OS.watch

ArcoLinux version 24.02 introduces several key updates and improvements. In the Plasma desktop environment, new window-closing shortcuts (SUPER + Q, SUPER + SHIFT + Q) have been implemented. AUR packages now fetch the latest versions with git during the build process. The chadwm window manager now supports application icons in various colors, thanks to Fennec's contribution. The arcolinux-powermenu-git, an independent power menu based on rofi, is included with 5 styles and 16 color schemes. The Arcolinux welcome app (AWA) has been updated, and a new Archiso version has been created to build ISOs. Lollypop replaces Pragha as the default audio player, chosen for its compatibility with X11 and Wayland, maintenance status, user-friendly interface, and multimedia capabilities. Hyprland, Sway, and Wayfire receive consolidations and improvements. Additionally, XAMPP, a cross-platform web server solution, is highlighted for its ease of installation, cross-platform compatibility, and suitability for local development and testing.
