Tails 5.14

Tails 5.14 comes with several new features and improvements to enhance security and usability. One notable addition is the automatic migration to LUKS2 encryption with Argon2id, which offers stronger protection against state-sponsored attackers with physical access to your device. It is recommended to change the passphrase of your Persistent Storage and other LUKS encrypted volumes for added security. Another significant feature is the ability to perform full backups of your Persistent Storage using Tails Installer, allowing you to clone your data to a backup Tails system. The release also introduces captive portal detection, enabling Tails to identify if you need to sign in to a network through a captive portal, with faster error screen display and sign-in recommendations. Moreover, Tails now provides an incentive to donate from Electrum, allowing users to contribute to the project directly from the Bitcoin wallet. Other updates include the integration of Tor Browser 12.0.7 and various usability improvements to the Persistent Storage functionality.
