TUXEDO OS 4 has launched as the latest release from TUXEDO Computers, built on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and using Linux Kernel 6.11. This release features the KDE Plasma 6.1.5 desktop, with the latest KDE Frameworks 6.6 and KDE Gear 24.08.1. Optimized for TUXEDO hardware, it includes the Mesa 24.2 graphics stack and NVIDIA 560.35.03 driver for enhanced gaming. The OS also updates key applications like Firefox 132 and Thunderbird 128.3.2 ESR, and offers a secure environment with AppArmor 4.0. The update model shifts from versioning to a hybrid rolling-point release system, enhancing flexibility for users.
