LibreELEC 12.0.1, featuring Kodi (Omega) v21.1, has been released with significant changes, particularly for 64-bit ARM SoC devices like the Raspberry Pi 4/5, which now use the `aarch64` userspace. Users must manually update their systems by placing the update file in the `/storage/.update` directory and rebooting. Those using Widevine for DRM-protected streaming must delete the existing `arm` libraries before first use. The release also includes updates to Kodi 21.1 and Linux 6.6.46, but some issues remain, such as broken RPi gpiozero functionality and limitations for Allwinner and Rockchip devices.
