The new version of Br OS, version 23.04, has been released, marking the third anniversary of the distro. Over the years, the system has matured, becoming lighter and faster, gaining many functionalities while still maintaining its simplicity and ease of use. The focus of the system remains the same: to have an operating system ready to use from the moment of installation so that users can create content for the internet. Br OS comes with audio, image, and video editing tools, as well as security and trace hiding tools, allowing content creation and publication even in countries with authoritarian governments. A new feature in this version is the integration of ChatGPT directly on the desktop, accessed through an icon next to the Start menu. The ChatGPT runs isolated within the applet, preventing it from accessing the computer's data. The Br OS has its own artificial intelligence, Tricia, which is being constantly trained and has shown superior results to other models. However, it is currently too resource-intensive to be installed on an average desktop and too expensive to maintain on a cloud server, so the team has temporarily opted for the use of ChatGPT. This version comes with kernel 6.2, KDE Plasma 5.27.4, and QT 5.15.8.
