Window Maker Live 12.8

The latest release of wmlive is based on Debian/Bookworm 12.8 and includes Linux kernel 6.11.5 for the amd64 variant and kernel 6.10.11 for the i386 variant. Notable additions include tools for book digitization and e-book creation, such as scantailor-advanced, ocrmypdf, and Sigil. The release also features updated GNUstep packages, Emacs 29.4 with a GNUstep-based GUI, and a switch from the Surf browser to Otter Browser. New emulation tools include Previous for legacy NeXTSTEP systems and 86Box for vintage PC operating systems. To improve compatibility, the gtk3-classic libraries were replaced with standard Debian gtk3. Additionally, wmlive-specific components are available for installation via apt.
