The December 2023 release of Mabox Linux introduces refreshed ISO images featuring the new LTS 6.6 kernel, with an option to choose the slightly older LTS 5.4 kernel for compatibility with older hardware. Users can easily install and run multiple kernel versions simultaneously. Noteworthy additions include the powerful combination of Tint2 panel and Jgmenu for advanced customization, enhanced Conky widgets with unique features, and the beloved Quake-style slide-out terminal accessible with F12. The Colorizer tool is nearing its final 1.0 release, offering improved configuration options for Openbox, Menu, and Conky, with ongoing development for Tint2 and desktop-wide theme settings. New users are reassured that while Mabox has specific tools, customization can be gradual and enjoyable. The ISO images are available for download, featuring linux66 with the latest LTS kernel and linux54 with a slightly older LTS kernel. Support for Mabox's maintenance and development is encouraged through Ko-fi or other channels.
