Puppy Linux is a unique family of Linux distributions meant for home-user computers. Puppy Linux is relatively small size - typically 800 MB or less and is fast and versatile. It runs in ram from a small set of immutable components plus writable persistence storage. It is "ready to use" with all tools for common daily computing tasks already included. Puppy Linux can be used on all "Intel" based computers, but is especially useful for those with limited or older components. Puppy Linux is a collection of multiple Linux distributions, built on the same shared principles, built using the same set of tools (Woof-CE), built on top of a unique set of Puppy specific applications and configurations which provide consistent behaviours and features, no matter which flavour you choose.
