To be honest, I have a very fussy Acer all-in-one desktop. Trying different Linux distros is very hit and miss, and previous Debian-based distros either left me without sound, screen tearing, vertical lines across the screen (which panics me as the Acer is almost brand new) or no wireless access. So it was a 'Ho Hum' when I read that a new version of Netrunner had been released, but I thought I'd give it a try to see what didn't work. What a surprise! Everything worked out of the box, and it is a very easy to use and navigate distribution. Very responsive too. I pressed the left-hand button to have a look at the installed software and was delighted to find that a new way of viewing contents was installed. It seems a more logical way of doing things, and hats off to the developers for not sticking to the normal way of setting the operating system up. Having setting up Netrunner with the apps I use, I transferred my files and folders and am happily typing this review on it. I truly believe my need to distro-hop every day (yes, I know) is now over. It is that good.
